Class Descriptions

Zumba

Zumba combines Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create a fun, easy-to- follow, calorie-burning dance routine. Great for all levels.


Indoor Cycling

Endurance and interval ride with lots of encouragement. Work at your own level.


Yoga Cycle

Classical yoga sun salutations to warm the body and prepare the mind, followed by a 30-minute journey on the bike, then yoga postures to stretch muscles used specifically on the ride, followed by deep relaxation. Great class for all fitness levels.


Hour of Power

Strength-training class using medicine balls, resistance bands, stability balls, etc. Beginners through advanced.


Muscles Express/ Muscle Conditioning

Build muscle strength and endurance. Focusing on a different body part each day. All fitness levels.


Mat Pilates

Focus on breathing, body awareness, and core strength (understanding of Pilates basics required).


Intro to Cycling

Learn indoor cycling terminology, how to set up the bike, and ride in the proper form. Enjoy riding with great music and friends. Beginners class (all experience levels welcome).


Kick and Tone

Cardio kickboxing incorporating weights and stability balls. All fitness levels.


Cycle Express

A great cycle workout if you have limited time. Work at your own level. All fitness levels welcome.


Intro to Mat Pilates

Learn the basics of Mat Pilates and get a great workout. Exercises concentrate on your core strength. For beginners or those needing a refresher (advanced also welcome).


Power Yoga

An athletic flowing yoga using breathing to lengthen your pose. It is a combination of dynamic breathing and strong movement which creates a high energy workout. Power yoga is a sequence of postures that build strength, unwind tight joints, and loosen muscles.  Power yoga is directed at creating the highest level of energy, vitality, and freedom. This class is not recommended for beginners.


Hatha Yoga

A yoga class that combines postures to improve muscular strength with postures to improve flexibility. Class focuses on correct breathing techniques to calm the body and the mind. Class concludes with deep relaxation. All fitness levels welcome.


Yoga/Pilates Combo

This class is great for all fitness levels. It mixes both yoga poses with the core strengthening exercises of Pilates. A great way to stretch and strengthen your body.


Yo-Fit Fusion

Designed to improve all components of fitness, this class is for all fitness levels. A combination of muscle conditioning, yoga poses and meditation will have you ready to take on your day.


Vinyasa Yoga

A popular, evolving form of traditional hatha yoga that focuses on intergrating breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength and flexibility, yoga practice and daily life. Likened to a dynamic dance, postures or asanas are connected through breat for transformative and balancing effect. All levels of fitness are welcome.


Core and Strength

Your core takes center stage in this class, but your arms, legs, chest and back help with the show. Great for all fitness levels!


Core and More

Target and challenge the abdominals, back, and hips in this 30 minute work out. All fitness levels welcome!


Cycling and Core

This class is the best of both worlds. With about 45 minutes of cycling followed by some core work, this class is sure to make you sweat.


Foam Roller Stretch

Come and learn new stretches for your upper body, back and legs. We will use the foam rollers to "roll out" your tight spots as well as work on flexibility during the class.


NIA

Nia is a full-body workout that combines movements from martial arts like tae kwon do, healing arts like yoga, and dance forms including jazz dance and modern dance. Nia offers traditional fitness benefits such as cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, strength, balance, endurance, and relaxation. The combination of movement forms also helps us to move with grace and fluidity.

The Gauntlet

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold® is intended for anyone who would enjoy a less intense form of Zumba® and may hold special appeal for active older adults and those just starting a fitness program. Like Zumba® it is a full body workout that feels more like a dance party, relying heavily on Latin rhythms and International music.

 


Basic Vinyasa Yoga

Movement-based yoga class where you are guided through flowing poses with inhales and exhales. 


Cardio Karate

Get your heart rate up and improve your cardio while punching and kicking with BodyScapes' very own Black Belt, Mark Hernon.


Barre-Pilates Fusion

This high-intensity class fuses the disciplines of Pilates, Lotte Berk, yoga, core-conditioning and stretching to produce long, lean muscles and a strong, flexible body. Challenge your body to work from the inside out through repetetive movements in small muscle groups, with particular focus on legs, bottom, core, and arms. This class is open to all levels, though some experience in Pilates is recommended.


Pilates with Props

Add a new dimension to your core training by adding props like fitness circles, resistance bands, foam rollers, and balance balls to the traditional mat pilates class.


Total Body Toning

Total Body Toning is a full body workout, which incorporates funtional movements, plyometrics, core, and cardiovascular endurance. All levels are welcome


Ball Fusion

This class focuses on core movements and the use of the Physio Ball.  Ball Fusion is designed to give you a belly burn designed to getyou ready for the beach
